The Salzburg Global Seminar's Culture and the Arts Program promotes cultural dialogue and exchange, seeks to secure a more prominent role for the arts and culture on policy agendas, and provides support for the continuously evolving needs of cultural institutions and creative individuals around the globe.
Since the Salzburg Global Seminar’s founding in 1947, sessions focusing on literature, music, theater, film, architecture, and historic preservation have been a mainstay of our program. In recent years, sessions have explored the instrumental, institutional, and instrinsic value of culture and the arts in an increasingly globalized world.
