Salzburg Festival Cooperation

In August 2007, the Salzburg Global Seminar and the Salzburg Festival established a formal partnership program called Dichter zu Gast (Writers in Residence), recasting the historical relationship between the Festival’s co-founder Max Reinhardt and the Seminar’s home, Schloss Leopoldskron, which Reinhardt owned from 1918 to 1938. It was inside the Schloss that the idea for the Salzburg Festival was born.
